Description

In summer 2011 I was invited to contribute to an exhibition about a garden. This is what I did.

Each plant, even the most inconsiderable one, has a meaning. Some of them go back to the ancient world, medieval beliefs or Christian symbolisms. Not only in Europe but also on faraway continents, people have imagined opulent tales around the meaning, the look, the smell or the origin of a certain plant, often relating it to its healing powers. Other interpretations like those of the flower language assign a direct message to every flower which allows lovers to communicate in encoded ways.
